Bachelor's degree of above in Accounting or Finance.
At least 5 years of experience of Finance/Accounting, within experience in cross-border e-commerce industry
Professionally qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or international equivalent), CPA preferred.
Exposure to SaaS startup environment and experience in building financial process from the ground up would be a plus.
Strong understanding of CAS (IFRS or UK statutory accounting and reporting requirements a plus) and financial statement preparation and analysis
Workable written and spoking English, strong communication skills in a global and matrixed organization.
Sound project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills and proficient with Excel.
Enthusiastic, hands on, proactive, able to work well independently and in teams.
What you'll be doing on the job
Accounting & Tax Compliance
Take a leading role in executing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including AP and AR reconciliations, fixed assets and prepaid expenses, accruals, and bank reconciliations.
Be responsible for revenue recognition, receipts collection for all sales transactions from E-shop.
Reconcile weekly e-wallet receipts statement with SO status in ERP. Oversee cash collection and reconcile customer accounts. Identify issues and work with business team to understand root cause and provide solution from accounting/finance perspective.
Work with our outsourced bookkeeping firm to prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CAS/IFRS.
Manage global sales tax, VAT, and other tax filing schedules and compliance
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency, implementing improvements as appropriate.
Auditing & Controlling
Maintain the internal control environment in the Company’s operations that are in compliant with corporate policies.
Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, providing requested documentation and support as needed.
