What requirements you'll need to be eligible

Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory affairs or related field; advanced degree preferred

5 – 7 years’ experience in regulatory compliance at a B2B or B2C in food & beverage company with expertise in ingredients and product compliance, claims and labelling

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness & self-initiative to learn and work with minimal supervision.

Knowledge on how to categorise the food categories under the regulation to ensure proper regulatory compliance checks.

Experience with food manufacturing related regulations in China is good to have.

Detail oriented and with good analytical skills.

Excellent communication – verbal & written in Chinese & English is a must.

Good presentation skills.

A good understanding of local, regional and global food regulatory compliance.

What you'll be doing on the job

Performing Regulatory Evaluation of our products (existing and new developed) to ensure they conform to the regulations for China, Japan Korea, Taiwan and other APAC countries.

Create, and maintain our Country Conformity Assessments database , ensuring the usage of the products in the specific applications are in compliance with regulatory requirements for countries in the region.

Take the lead in Filing registrations for various regulatory requirements (products and/or site) – e.g. GACC in China, registration in Japan etc.

Regulatory Monitoring of the regulatory landscape for the Region – monitoring and communication the updates for the food regulations (specifications, labeling requirements etc.).

Support global QA & SQM by providing information for Raw Material Evaluation.

Maintain good and close contacts with local authority or food associations, attend meetings related to update of regulations and national standards.

Conduct training sessions for internal teams on regulatory requirements and changes, ensuring that all departments are informed and aligned.

Provide regulatory guidance and support to customers, helping them understand and meet the regulatory requirements for products they purchase from Oterra. Assist in customer audits and inquiries related to regulatory compliance, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Develop and update SOPs related to regulatory affairs, ensuring that all processes are documented, standardized, and consistently followed.

Provide support to fill out Customer questionnaire & statement as and when needed e.g. statements on source of materials.

It would also be advantageous if the candidate is well versed about chemical regulations in China and globally
